NAB ACT 1:6

When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.
It is at the fall of Babylon that Isaiah 14 tells us that Israel is restored. Babylon, the world power, fell hundreds of years before Jesus' life, death and ascension. The "Babylon has fallen", which Isaiah and the Book of Revelations are talking about, is not the historical fall of the physical Babylonian empire. Scriptures tell us that "Babylon has fallen" upon the future battle of Armageddon, in the era of the Apocalypse.

God was King over Israel. Israel's King, God, had led Israel, from the time He raptures them out of Egypt in the Exodus, until the time of Israel's fall in 587 B.C. Through their sinfulness, Israel had abandon God. In 587 B.C., God handed Israel over to world powers. At that time, Babylon was the world power. In detail, the house of Israel fell to Assyria, then later, in 587 B.C., the house of Judah fell to Babylon. Both Babylon and Assyria, along with their world dominant power successors, fall at the future Battle of Armageddon. All world dominant secular power, from Babylonian and Assyrian world dominant power over Israel, to world dominant secular powers who rule over Israel today, all fall at the future battle of Armageddon. God's Word, the bible, equates all world dominant secular power as a whole, from the fall of Israel forward to the present, as 'Babylon'.

Jesus will take back leadership as King over Israel at the future Battle of Armageddon. This is why Babylon falls in the future battle of Armageddon, fought on earth, in the future era of the Apocalypse. It is at the future battle of Armageddon that the restoration of Israel will take place as God has "the mysterious plan of God shall be fulfilled, as he promised to his servants the prophet".

NAB2 REV 11:15

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world now belongs to our Lord and to his Anointed, and he will reign forever and ever.

NAB2 REV 10:4

I heard a voice from heaven say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have spoken, but do not write it down.” Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven and swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them, “There shall be no more delay. “At the time when you hear the seventh angel blow his trumpet, the mysterious plan of God shall be fulfilled, as he promised to his servants the prophets.”

God tells us that the Israelites, no matter where in the world they have been scattered in the world, He will bring them back to their own land. It is Jesus, a descendant of King David, who will rule the world after the future battle of Armageddon. With Jesus, a descendant of King David, ruling over the whole world, the whole world will be the Restored Kingdom of Israel. With the whole world being Israel, no matter where in the world an Israelite descendant has been scattered, they will now live in the Restored Kingdom of Israel. Christ's enthronement at Armageddon will be the restoration of Israel. While the whole world will be Christ's dominion, Zion/The New Jerusalem will be Christ's Holy City. As God, through Moses and Joshua, took Israel into the Promised Land One, Jesus through “Archangel Michael and his Angels of the Apocalypse will take us into the Promised Land Two, which is 'Thy Kingdom Come', of Zion/The New Jerusalem. Let us go to the Promised Land II! Let us go to God's Kingdom Come! Let Jesus rule the world! Amen!

God was King over Israel in Moses day as Jesus will be King over the world under Messianic Reign. Under Messianic Reign, the world will be Christ's domain and the New Jerusalem will be Christ's Holy City. As our King God raptures Israel out of Egypt 'on his pinions' and into the Promised Land, so also will our King Jesus rapture his Church, on 'eagles wings', out of Babylon and into the Promised Land two of Zion.

NAB3 PSA 114:1

When Israel came forth from Egypt, the house of Jacob from an alien people, Judah became God's holy place, Israel, God's domain.

NAB3 DEU 33:1

This is the blessing which Moses, the man of God, pronounced upon the Israelites before he died. He said: "The LORD came from Sinai and dawned on his people from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran and advanced from Meribath-kadesh, While at his right hand a fire blazed forth and his wrath devastated the nations. But all his holy ones were in his hand; they followed at his feet and he bore them up on his pinions. A law he gave to us; he made the community of Jacob his domain, and he became king of his darling.

NAB3 REV 12:13

Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death. Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them. But woe to you, earth and sea, for the Devil has come down to you in great fury, for he knows he has but a short time."

But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly to her place in the desert, where, far from the serpent, she was taken care of for a year, two years, and a half-year. The serpent, however, spewed a torrent of water out of his mouth after the woman to sweep her away with the current. But the earth helped the woman and opened its mouth and swallowed the flood that the dragon spewed out of its mouth. Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus. It took its position on the sand of the sea.

NAB3 ISA 11:15

The LORD shall dry up the tongue of the Sea of Egypt, and wave his hand over the Euphrates with his fierce wind, And divide it into seven streamlets, so that it can be crossed in sandals. There shall be a highway for the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria, As there was for Israel when it came up from the land of Egypt.

NAB3 1CH 29:10 David’s Prayer

Then David blessed the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, praying in these words:

“Blessed may you be, O Lord, God of Israel our father, from eternity to eternity. “Yours, O Lord, are grandeur and power, majesty, splendor, and glory. For all in heaven and on earth is yours; yours, O Lord, is the sovereignty; you are exalted as head over all. “Riches and honor are from you, and you have dominion over all. In your hand are power and might; it is yours to give grandeur and strength to all. Therefore, our God, we give you thanks and we praise the majesty of your name.”

God Himself had led Israel out of Egypt and set her up in the Promised Land I. Scripture compares God's planting of Israel in the, Promised Land I, to an eagle carrying her in on its pinions (DEU 32). God set Himself up as King over Israel. God led His people through His servants the kings, priests and prophets of the House of Judah and the House of Israel. It is on the eagle's wings of God, Moses and Joshua, that God carries Israel into the, Promised Land I. It is on the eagle's wings of Babylon 'The great eagle, with great wings, with long pinions' (EZE 17:1), that God carries Israel out of the Promised Land, when Israel is 'cast down from heaven to earth' (LAM 2:1), upon her exile from the Promised Land in 587 B.C.. It is on the eagle's wings of Jesus and His forces at Armageddon, Michael and his angels, that God rescues Israel from Satan and restores Israel to the Promised Land II of Zion/The New Jerusalem (REV 12). These biblical eagle descriptions quoted later in this page.

Through Israel's evil human pride, through unrepentant sin, she chose Satan as her leader, rather than God. The biblical term 'Satan' means man's evil pride. As in Jesus parable of the prodigal son, God mournfully allows His people, through their own free willed choice, to leave Him. God handed Israel and Judah over to Satan, to be ruled by Satan. God, who had promised to build a great nation out of Israel, the descendants of Abraham, switched to plan B. The House of Judah, due to their evil human pride, through unrepentant sin, "fell from heaven", to be ruled by man's evil human pride, secular world power, king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. It is in the year 587 B.C. that Israel fell to the power of Satan. Satan rules over Israel, and the whole world, between 587 B.C. and our future apocalyptic battle at Armageddon. The post-Armageddon world is Ruled by our King and Lord, Jesus Christ, forever.

Love for God, through obedience, is greater than man's physical or eternal life. If this were not true then God would not have allowed free will through which all hatred, sin, death and damnation flows. Love for God can only be accomplished through free will. God's people Israel and Judah choose not to love God through obedience. God repeatedly sent prophet after prophet to tell His people Israel and Judah to stop sinning and return to love God through obedience. They refused. God is scorned, rejected and abandon by the Israelites. Through free will, God's people abandon God. Mournfully, God let His people go to be ruled by Satan.

NAB BAR 4:11

With joy I fostered them; but with mourning and lament I let them go. Let no one gloat over me, a widow, bereft of many: For the sins of my children I am left desolate, because they turned from the law of God, and did not acknowledge his statutes; In the ways of God's commandments they did not walk, nor did they tread the disciplined paths of his justice.

NAB ISA 1:2

Hear, O heavens, and listen, O earth, for the LORD speaks: Sons have I raised and reared, but they have disowned me! An ox knows its owner, and an ass, its master's manager; But Israel does not know, my people has not understood. Ah! sinful nation, people laden with wickedness, evil race, corrupt children! They have forsaken the LORD, spurned the Holy One of Israel, apostatized.

NAB JER 10:20

My tent is ruined, all its cords are severed. My sons have left me, they are no more: no one to pitch my tent, no one to raise its curtains.

The Israelites refused to love God through obedience and choose Satan as their ruler instead. Satan is man's evil human pride on earth. God orders and authorizes, king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, to remove the Israelites of the House of Judah, the last remaining free Israelites, from His "presence". God removes His power and authority from Israel, which is His Kingship over Israel, and puts 'morning star', king of Babylon, secular leader, Nebuchadnezzer as ruler over the Israelites. Rejected by His people through their sinfulness, God hands His people over to their passion, which is Satan. God raptors Israel out of the Promised land, on the wings of Nebbuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. The Israelites take their 'fall from heaven'.

NAB LAM 2:1

How the Lord in his wrath has detested daughter Zion! He has cast down from heaven to earth the glory of Israel, Unmindful of his footstool on the day of his wrath. The Lord has consumed without pity all the dwellings of Jacob; He has torn down in his anger the fortresses of daughter Judah; He has brought to the ground in dishonor her king and her princes.

NAB 2KI 24:18

The LORD’S anger befell Jerusalem and Judah till he cast them out from his presence.

NAB JER 27:4

Tell your masters: Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: It was I who made the earth, and man and beast on the face of the earth, by my great power, with my outstretched arm; and I can give them to whomever I think fit. Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, my servant; even the beasts of the field I have given him for his use.
The dynamics that led to Israel's fall to Satan, which Satan is man's evil pride in secular world power Babylon, are set up by God, at the nation Israel's birth, around 1230 B.C. Abraham's seed, Jacob, grew up in bondage in Egypt. God through Moses led God's people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land One. God made a covenant with Israel, upon giving them the Ten Commandments, right before they entered the Promised Land I. God promised to build a great nation out of the Israelites. God would shower them with gifts from heaven. Israel was to ride the heights of the earth. God would make them the envy of all other nations on earth. Israel's glory was to surpass anything known to man. God would give them eternal life. God would do all this, if the Israelites remained faithful and loving to Him through obedience to His Commandments. There is a plan B. If the Israelites fail to be faithful, loving and obedient to God, then God swears that He will bring them to ruin. This is the covenant that God made with Israel at the time of Moses.

NAB DUE 28:1

“Thus, then, shall it be: if you continue to heed the voice of the LORD, your God, and are careful to observe all his commandments which I enjoin on you today, the LORD, your God, will raise you high above all the nations of the earth. When you hearken to the voice of the LORD, your God, all these blessings will come upon you and overwhelm you:

“May you be blessed in the city, and blessed in the country! “Blessed be the fruit of your womb, the produce of your soil and the offspring of your livestock, the issue of your herds and the young of your flocks! “Blessed be your grain bin and your kneading bowl! “May you be blessed in your coming in, and blessed in your going out!

“The LORD will beat down before you the enemies that rise up against you; though they come out against you from but one direction, they will flee before you in seven. The LORD will affirm his blessing upon you, on your barns and on all your undertakings, blessing you in the land that the LORD, your God, gives you. Provided that you keep the commandments of the LORD, your God, and walk in his ways, he will establish you as a people sacred to himself, as he swore to you; so that, when all the nations of the earth see you bearing the name of the LORD, they will stand in awe of you. The LORD will increase in more than goodly measure the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your soil, in the land which he swore to your fathers he would give you. The LORD will open up for you his rich treasure house of the heavens, to give your land rain in due season, blessing all your undertakings, so that you will lend to many nations and borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail, and you will always mount higher and not decline, as long as you obey the commandments of the LORD, your God, which I order you today to observe carefully; not turning aside to the right or to the left from any of the commandments which I now give you, in order to follow other gods and serve them.

“But if you do not hearken to the voice of the LORD, your God, and are not careful to observe all his commandments which I enjoin on you today, all these curses shall come upon you and overwhelm you: “May you be cursed in the city, and cursed in the country! “Cursed be your grain bin and your kneading bowl! “Cursed be the fruit of your womb, the produce of your soil and the offspring of your livestock, the issue of your herds and the young of your flocks! “May you be cursed in your coming in, and cursed in your going out!

“The LORD will put a curse on you, defeat and frustration in every enterprise you undertake, until you are speedily destroyed and perish for the evil you have done in forsaking me. The LORD will bring a pestilence upon you that will persist until he has exterminated you from the land you are entering to occupy. The LORD will strike you with wasting and fever, with scorching, fiery drought, with blight and searing wind, that will plague you until you perish. The sky over your heads will be like bronze and the earth under your feet like iron. For rain the LORD will give your land powdery dust, which will come down upon you from the sky until you are destroyed. The LORD will let you be beaten down before your enemies; though you advance against them from one direction, you will flee before them in seven, so that you will become a terrifying example to all the kingdoms of the earth. Your carcasses will become food for all the birds of the air and for the beasts of the field, with no one to frighten them off. The LORD will strike you with Egyptian boils and with tumors, eczema and the itch, until you cannot be cured. And the LORD will strike you with madness, blindness and panic, so that even at midday you will grope like a blind man in the dark, unable to find your way.

“You will be oppressed and robbed continually, with no one to come to your aid. Though you betroth a wife, another man will have her. Though you build a house, you will not live in it. Though you plant a vineyard, you will not enjoy its fruits. Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, and you will not eat of its flesh. Your ass will be stolen in your presence, but you will not recover it. Your flocks will be given to your enemies, with no one to come to your aid. Your sons and daughters will be given to a foreign nation while you look on and grieve for them in constant helplessness. A people whom you do not know will consume the fruit of your soil and of all your labor, and you will be oppressed and crushed at all times without surcease, until you are driven mad by what your eyes must look upon. The LORD will strike you with malignant boils of which you cannot be cured, on your knees and legs, and from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head.

“The LORD will bring you, and your king whom you have set over you, to a nation which you and your fathers have not known, and there you will serve strange gods of wood and stone, and will call forth amazement, reproach and barbed scorn from all the nations to which the LORD will lead you.

“Though you spend much seed on your field, you will harvest but little, for the locusts will devour the crop. Though you plant and cultivate vineyards, you will not drink or store up the wine, for the grubs will eat the vines clean. Though you have olive trees throughout your country, you will have no oil for ointment, for your olives will drop off unripe. Though you beget sons and daughters, they will not remain with you, but will go into captivity. Buzzing insects will infest all your trees and the crops of your soil. The alien residing among you will rise higher and higher above you, while you sink lower and lower. He will lend to you, not you to him. He will become the head, you the tail.

“All these curses will come upon you, pursuing you and overwhelming you, until you are destroyed, because you would not hearken to the voice of the LORD, your God, nor keep the commandments and statutes he gave you. They will light on you and your descendants as a sign and a wonder for all time. Since you would not serve the LORD, your God, with joy and gratitude for abundance of every kind, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and utter poverty, you will serve the enemies whom the LORD will send against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck, until he destroys you.

The LORD will raise up against you a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, that swoops down like an eagle, a nation whose tongue you do not understand, a nation of stern visage, that shows neither respect for the aged nor pity for the young. They will consume the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your soil, until you are destroyed; they will leave you no grain or wine or oil, no issue of your herds or young of your flocks, until they have brought about your ruin. They will besiege you in each of your communities, until the great, unscalable walls you trust in come tumbling down all over your land. They will so besiege you in every community throughout the land which the LORD, your God, has given you, that in the distress of the siege to which your enemy subjects you, you will eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of your own sons and daughters whom the LORD, your God, has given you. The most refined and fastidious man among you will begrudge his brother and his beloved wife and his surviving children, any share in the flesh of his children that he himself is using for food when nothing else is left him in the straits of the siege to which your enemy will subject you in all your communities. The most refined and delicate woman among you, so delicate and refined that she would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground, will begrudge her beloved husband and her son and daughter the afterbirth that issues from her womb and the infant she brings forth when she secretly uses them for food for want of anything else, in the straits of the siege to which your enemy will subject you in your communities.

“If you are not careful to observe every word of the law which is written in this book, and to revere the glorious and awesome name of the LORD, your God, he will smite you and your descendants with severe and constant blows, malignant and lasting maladies. He will again afflict you with all the diseases of Egypt which you dread, and they will persist among you. Should there be any kind of sickness or calamity not mentioned in this book of the law, that too the LORD will bring upon you until you are destroyed. Of you who were numerous as the stars in the sky, only a few will be left, because you would not hearken to the voice of the LORD, your God.

“Just as the LORD once took delight in making you grow and prosper, so will he now take delight in ruining and destroying you, and you will be plucked out of the land you are now entering to occupy. The LORD will scatter you among all the nations from one end of the earth to the other, and there you will serve strange gods of wood and stone, such as you and your fathers have not known. Among these nations you will find no repose, not a foot of ground to stand upon, for there the LORD will give you an anguished heart and wasted eyes and a dismayed spirit. You will live in constant suspense and stand in dread both day and night, never sure of your existence. In the morning you will say, ‘Would that it were evening!’ and in the evening you will say, ‘Would that it were morning!’ for the dread that your heart must feel and the sight that your eyes must see. The LORD will send you back in galleys to Egypt, to the region I told you that you were never to see again; and there you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.”

These are the words of the covenant which the LORD ordered Moses to make with the Israelites in the land of Moab, in addition to the covenant which he made with them at Horeb.

'Morning star' (Satan), King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar is the fulfillment of God's covenant given to the Israelites through Moses. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon is God's plan B. Babylon's destruction of the House of Judah is the down side of God's covenant with the Israelites. The Israelites failed to love God and God authorizes and empowers His 'morning star' Nebuchadnezzar to conquer, defeat, destroy and carry the survivor Israelites back into bondage in Babylon. This is a pivotal point in understanding the bible and especially in understanding the New Testament Book of Revelations. The House of Israel had already fallen to foreign powers. The fall of the House of Judah brings an end to the great world nation God was to build through the physical, blood descendants, of Abraham.

NAB EZR 5:12

But because our fathers provoked the wrath of the God of heaven, he delivered them into the power of the Chaldean, Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, who destroyed this house and led the people captive to Babylon.

NAB DAN 9:4

I prayed to the LORD, my God, and confessed, “Ah, Lord, great and awesome God, you who keep your merciful covenant toward those who love you and observe your commandments! We have sinned, been wicked and done evil; we have rebelled and departed from your commandments and your laws. We have not obeyed your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, our fathers, and all the people of the land. Justice, O Lord, is on your side; we are shamefaced even to this day: the men of Judah, the residents of Jerusalem, and all Israel, near and far, in all the countries to which you have scattered them because of their treachery toward you. O LORD, we are shamefaced, like our kings, our princes, and our fathers, for having sinned against you. But yours, O Lord, our God, are compassion and forgiveness! Yet we rebelled against you and paid no heed to your command, O LORD, our God, to live by the law you gave us through your servants the prophets. Because all Israel transgressed your law and went astray, not heeding your voice, the sworn malediction, recorded in the law of Moses, the servant of God, was poured out over us for our sins. You carried out the threats you spoke against us and against those who governed us, by bringing upon us in Jerusalem the greatest calamity that has ever occurred under heaven. As it is written in the law of Moses, this calamity came full upon us. As we did not appease the LORD, our God, by turning back from our wickedness and recognizing his constancy, so the LORD kept watch over the calamity and brought it upon us. You, O LORD, our God, are just in all that you have done, for we did not listen to your voice.
History tells us Babylon fell a few decades after conquering Israel. The bible tells us that Babylon falls in the future era of the apocalypse at the battle of Armageddon.

NAB REV 18:21

A powerful angel picked up a stone like a huge millstone and hurled it into the sea and said: “Babylon the great city shall be cast down like this, with violence, and nevermore to be found!

NAB REV 18:1 The fall of Babylon

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. His authority was so great that all the earth was lighted up by his glory. He cried out in a strong voice:

“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons. She is a cage for every unclean spirit, a cage for every filthy and disgusting bird; For she has made all the nations drink the poisoned wine of her lewdness. The kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the world’s merchants grew rich from her wealth and wantonness.”

We Christians want to know why Babylon falls in our future at the battle of Armageddon. Babylon is used by the bible give us our image of Satan. Satan is man's evil pride on earth. Isaiah 14 calls king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon a fallen "morning star". "Morning star" is a name used to identify angels. It is Archangel Michael who defeats Babylon ("Babylon falls") and falls Satan from heaven in the future era of the Apocalypse. If you want to know why God would put His power and authority into an angel, actually a 'morning star', like Satan, king Nebuchadnezzar’s is the place to look. At the "fall from heaven" of Israel, God transfers His power over to 'morning star', king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and the world power nations who succeed him. Yes! Biblically speaking, we, God's people, are still under the bondage of Satan's rule, living in Babylon. Satan, which is man's evil pride ruling over us, is not defeated upon Christ's death and resurrection, but at Christ's enthronement as King and Ruler of the world, upon Jesus' victory at our future battle at Armageddon.

To understand why "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!" at the Battle of Armageddon, in the Book of Revelations, in the future era of the apocalypse, one first has to understand the fall of the House of Judah and Jerusalem to Babylon in 587 BC. It is here, in 587 BC, that the House of Judah and Jerusalem take their 'fall from heaven' and loose their position as a nation. It is God's 'morning star' King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar who God uses to destroy the House of Judah and Jerusalem, as His covenant to the Israelites, through Moses 643 years earlier, requires (DEU 28).

NAB JER 20:4

For thus says the LORD: Indeed, I will deliver you to terror, you and all your friends. Your own eyes shall see them fall by the sword of their enemies. All Judah I will deliver to the king of Babylon, who shall take them captive to Babylon or slay them with the sword. All the wealth of this city, all it has toiled for and holds dear, all the treasures of the kings of Judah, I will give as plunder into the hands of their foes, who shall seize it and carry it away to Babylon.

NAB 1CH 5:21

Jehozadak was one of those who went into the exile which the LORD inflicted on Judah and Jerusalem through Nebuchadnezzar.

All nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson, until the time of his land, too, shall come. Then it in turn shall serve great nations and mighty kings. Meanwhile, if any nation or kingdom will not serve Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, or will not bend its neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, I will punish that nation with sword, famine, and pestilence, says the LORD, until I give them into his hand.

You, however, must not listen to your prophets, to your diviners and dreamers, to your soothsayers and sorcerers, who say to you, “You need not serve the king of Babylon.” For they prophesy lies to you, in order to drive you far from your land, to make me banish you so that you will perish. The people that submits its neck to the yoke of the king of Babylon to serve him I will leave in peace on its own land, says the LORD, to till it and dwell in it.

To Zedekiah, king of Judah, I spoke the same words: Submit your necks to the yoke of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people, so that you may live. Why should you and your people die by sword, famine, and pestilence, with which the LORD has threatened the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? Do not listen to the words of those prophets who say, “You need not serve the king of Babylon,” for they prophesy lies to you. I did not send them, says the LORD, but they prophesy falsely in my name, with the result that I must banish you, and you will perish, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.

To the priests and to all the people I spoke as follows: Thus says the LORD: Do not listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you: “The vessels of the house of the LORD will be brought back from Babylon soon now,” for they prophesy lies to you. Do not listen to them! Serve the king of Babylon that you may live; else this city will become a heap of ruins. If they were prophets, if the word of the LORD were with them, they would intercede with the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which remain in the house of the LORD and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem might not be taken to Babylon. For thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, the bronze sea, the stands, and the rest of the vessels that remain in this city, which Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, did not take when he exiled Jeconiah, son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, along with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem—yes, thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, in the palace of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem: To Babylon they shall be brought, and there they shall remain, until the day I look for them, says the LORD; then I will bring them back and restore them to this place.

NAB JER 28

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: A yoke of iron I will place on the necks of all these nations serving Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and they shall serve him; even the beasts of the field I give him.

NAB JER 21:2

Inquire for us of the LORD, because Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, is attacking us. Perhaps the LORD will deal with us according to all his wonderful works, so that he will withdraw from us. But Jeremiah answered them: This is what you shall report to Zedekiah: Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: I will turn back in your hands the weapons with which you intend to fight the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls. These weapons I will pile up in the midst of this city, and I myself will fight against you with outstretched hand and mighty arm, in anger, and wrath, and great rage! I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast; they shall die in a great pestilence. After that, says the LORD, I will hand over Zedekiah, king of Judah, and his ministers and the people in this city who survive pestilence, sword, and famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, into the hands of their enemies and those who seek their lives. He shall strike them with the edge of the sword, without quarter, without pity or mercy. And to this people you shall say: Thus says the LORD: See, I am giving you a choice between life and death. Whoever remains in this city shall die by the sword or famine or pestilence. But whoever leaves and surrenders to the besieging Chaldeans shall live and have his life as booty. For I have turned against this city, for its woe and not for its good, says the LORD. It shall be given into the power of the king of Babylon who shall burn it with fire.

To the royal house of Judah:Hear the word of the LORD, O house of David! Thus says the LORD: Each morning dispense justice, rescue the oppressed from the hand of the oppressor, Lest my fury break out like fire which burns without being quenched, because of the evil of your deeds. Beware! I am against you, Valley-site, Rock of the Plain, says the LORD. You who say, “Who will attack us, who can penetrate our retreats?” I will punish you, says the LORD, as your deeds deserve! I will kindle a fire in its forest that shall devour all its surroundings.

NAB JER 22:20

Scale Lebanon and cry out, in Bashan lift up your voice; Cry out from Abarim, for all your lovers are crushed. I spoke to you when you were secure, but you answered, “I will not listen.” This has been your way from your youth, not to listen to my voice. The wind shall shepherd all your shepherds, your lovers shall go into exile. Surely then you shall be ashamed and confounded because of all your wickedness. You who dwell on Lebanon, who nest in the cedars, How you shall groan when pains come upon you, like the pangs of a woman in travail!

As I live, says the LORD, if you, Coniah, son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, are a signet ring on my right hand, I will snatch you from it. I will deliver you into the hands of those who seek your life; the hands of those whom you fear; the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and the Chaldeans. I will cast you out, you and the mother who bore you, into a different land from the one you were born in; and there you shall die. Neither of them shall come back to the land for which they yearn.

Is this man Coniah a vessel despised, to be broken up, an instrument that no one wants? Why are he and his descendants cast out? why thrown into a land they know not? O land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD— Thus says the LORD: Write this man down as one childless, who will never thrive in his lifetime! No descendant of his shall achieve a seat on the throne of David as ruler again over Judah.

NAB JER 32:1

This message came to Jeremiah from the LORD in the tenth year of Zedekiah, king of Judah, the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar. At that time the army of the king of Babylon was besieging Jerusalem, and the prophet Jeremiah was imprisoned in the quarters of the guard, at the king’s palace. Zedekiah, king of Judah, had imprisoned him there, remonstrating: “How dare you prophesy: Thus says the LORD: I am handing over this city to the king of Babylon, who will capture it. Neither shall Zedekiah, king of Judah, escape the hands of the Chaldeans; rather shall he be handed over to the king of Babylon. They shall meet and speak face to face, and Zedekiah shall be taken to Babylon. There he shall remain, until I attend to him, says the LORD; in fighting the Chaldeans, you cannot win!”

NAB 2KI 24:8

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Nehushta, daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as his forebears had done.

At that time the officials of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, attacked Jerusalem, and the city came under siege. Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, himself arrived at the city while his servants were besieging it. Then Jehoiachin, king of Judah, together with his mother, his ministers, officers, and functionaries, surrendered to the king of Babylon, who, in the eighth year of his reign, took him captive. He carried off all the treasures of the temple of the LORD and those of the palace, and broke up all the gold utensils that Solomon, king of Israel, had provided in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had foretold. He deported all Jerusalem: all the officers and men of the army, ten thousand in number, and all the craftsmen and smiths. None were left among the people of the land except the poor. He deported Jehoiachin to Babylon, and also led captive from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother and wives, his functionaries, and the chief men of the land. The king of Babylon also led captive to Babylon all seven thousand men of the army, and a thousand craftsmen and smiths, all of them trained soldiers.

NAB 2KI 25:8

On the seventh day of the fifth month (this was in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan, captain of the bodyguard, came to Jerusalem as the representative of the king of Babylon. He burned the house of the LORD, the palace of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem; every large building was destroyed by fire. Then the Chaldean troops who were with the captain of the guard tore down the walls that surrounded Jerusalem.

Then Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, led into exile the last of the people remaining in the city, and those who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the last of the artisans.

The term "Satan", or concept of Satan, really does not come up in the Old Testament all that often. When it does, man's evil human pride is involved. The three major events when the term, or concept, "Satan", is brought up in Old Testament are at the fall of Adam and Eve, at the fall of Israel to Babylon, and at the fall of Job to the power of Satan.

Yes, many, maybe most Israelites had turned their hearts away from God and over to Satan before the fall of Israel to Satan. Not all had done so. 2 Macabees points out in the "Martyrdom of a Mother and Her Sons", how some Jews remained faithfully loving to God even to martyrdom. She, like Job after his fall to the power of Satan, did so after the fall of Israel to the power of Satan.

The Book of Job is an allegory to those, faithful to God, Israelites and Christians who suffer at the hands of Satan after Israel is handed over to Satan in 587 BC. When God displaced non-Israelite nations from the Promised Land, to place Israel on the Promised Land, I can see where this would be stepping on the toes of Satan; Satan being man's evil pride on earth. I can see where Satan would challenge God on this issue. Man's evil pride on earth, Satan, could very likely say, "Well of course Your 'chosen people' whom You bestow all these gifts on, over the rest of the world's people, are going to love You. What if You don't? What if Your 'chosen' received worse treatment than the not 'chosen' people receive? Then Your 'chosen people' will curse You." This is the concept of Satan, man's evil pride, in the book of Job.

Like Israel, God also gives Job over to Satan to do with as he pleases. God's only request is that Satan not destroy Job/Israel completely.

NAB2 JOB 2:1

Once again the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. And the LORD said to Satan, “Whence do you come?” And Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming the earth and patrolling it.” And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job, and that there is no one on earth like him, faultless and upright, fearing God and avoiding evil? He still holds fast to his innocence although you incited me against him to ruin him without cause.” And Satan answered the LORD and said, “Skin for skin! All that a man has will he give for his life. But now put forth your hand and touch his bone and his flesh, and surely he will blaspheme you to your face.” And the LORD said to Satan, “He is in your power; only spare his life.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD and smote Job with severe boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.
The 'Chaldeans' are Babylon. It is Babylon who seized Job's wealth as it is Babylon who seized Israel's wealth and freedom. Job's children are smote in all 'four corners' of his house. From the time Israel fell to Babylon in 587 BC until the future apocalypse, Israel's children are smote in all 'four corners' of the earth. To describe the whole earth, Old Testament uses the term 'four corners'. As the 'shepherds' of Job's sheep are consumed by lightning, so are the Israelite prophets and Christian leaders, who shepherd Israel, struck down (ISA 29:10). The book of Job is an allegory of the nation Israel. As Job suffers at the hands of Satan/Babylon, so does Israel suffer at the hands of Satan/Babylon.

NAB2 JOB 1:16

While he was yet speaking, another came and said, “Lightning has fallen from heaven and struck the sheep and their shepherds and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you.” While he was yet speaking, another came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three columns, seized the camels, carried them off, and put those tending them to the sword , and I alone have escaped to tell you.” While he was yet speaking, another came and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in the house of their eldest brother, when suddenly a great wind came across the desert and smote the four corners of the house. It fell upon the young people and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you.” Then Job began to tear his cloak and cut off his hair. He cast himself prostrate upon the ground, and said, “Naked I came forth from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I go back again. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!” In all this Job did not sin, nor did he say anything disrespectful of God.
Like the allegory of the restoration of Job, God promises to restore Israel. It is at the Battle of Armageddon where Satan is defeated by Jesus through His forces, Archangel Michael and His Combat Angels of the Apocalypse. God's restoration of Job, to good family and fortune, is describing Israel's good family and fortune on the other side of the Battle of Armageddon. After the flood God swears that no man will live past 120 years of life. After post-flood, Job is restored, when Satan no longer has power over Job, he then lives another 140 years with immense family and fortune. Revelations describes the time between Armageddon and doomsday as a 'thousand years', or, in other words, a great deal of time. The time between Armageddon and Doomsday will not have Satan leading the nations astray. (Note: Satan is released from hell a little bit before doomsday.) In the post-Armageddon world, God will once again rule over Israel and He will rain down all the massive blessings from heaven upon Israel Two, which He had promised to Israel One. The book of Job is really an allegory of great hope to Israel. On the other side of Armageddon lie bountiful gifts from God of great peace and prosperity for God's people Israel. Armageddon, which ushers in Messianic Reign, is a, long awaited, good thing.

NAB2 JOB 42:10

Also, the LORD restored the prosperity of Job, after he had prayed for his friends; the LORD even gave to Job twice as much as he had before. Then all his brethren and his sisters came to him, and all his former acquaintances, and they dined with him in his house. They condoled with him and comforted him for all the evil which the LORD had brought upon him; and each one gave him a piece of money and a gold ring. Thus the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his earlier ones. For he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses. And he had seven sons and three daughters, of whom he called the first Jemimah, the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch. In all the land no other women were as beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brethren. After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; and he saw his children, his grandchildren, and even his great-grandchildren. Then Job died, old and full of years.

NAB2 JOB 8:4

If your children have sinned against him and he has left them in the grip of their guilt, Still, if you yourself have recourse to God and make supplication to the Almighty, Should you be blameless and upright, surely now he will awake for you and restore your rightful domain; Your former state will be of little moment, for in time to come you will flourish indeed.

Isaiah 14 puts the fall of Babylon as the restoration of Israel. The historical fall of Babylon happened a few decades after the fall of Judah to Babylon. Israel was not restored at that time. The prophet Daniel tells us that it is Jesus who puts an end to the reign of Babylon and her successors. It is the reign of God given authority in world leaders which is put to an end by Jesus (DAN 2:31). We can look around today and see that this is not yet the case. The reign of God given authority in world leaders ends in the future era of the Apocalypse. This is when Jesus will take His position as "Morning Star" and "shepherd all the nations" with the "iron rod" of His mouth. This will be the time that Satan, aka Babylon, will be defeated, felled from heaven and chained in hell. Leviathan (Satan) will be slain. Babylon falls. God's people will be replanted under Jesus rule. In reality most secular leaders will probably still be in place. It is Jesus Power which will supersede secular power at and after the future Battle of Armageddon.

With a descendant of king David, Jesus, shepherding all the nations, Israel will be restored. No matter where on earth a descendant of Abraham may be, he will now live in the Restored Kingdom Israel, once Jesus rules the whole world. Jesus' Power is the "keys to the Kingdom", which is the power to hold sins bound and to hold sins loost. God's people, who love Him through obedience, will live in spiritual life, inside the gates of Zion. Those who hate God through disobedience, will live in spiritual death outside the gates of Zion, in the restored Kingdom of Israel. Let us go to Zion! Let Jesus Rule! Amen!

NAB REV 22:16

"It is I, Jesus, who have sent my angel to give you this testimony about the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the Morning Star shining bright."

NAB REV 2:27

He shall rule them with a rod of iron and shatter them like crockery; and I will give him the morning star.

NAB DAN 2:31

In your vision, O king, you saw a statue, very large and exceedingly bright, terrifying in appearance as it stood before you. The head of the statue was pure gold, its chest and arms were silver, its belly and thighs bronze, the legs iron, its feet partly iron and partly tile. While you looked at the statue, a stone which was hewn from a mountain without a hand being put to it, struck its iron and tile feet, breaking them in pieces. The iron, tile, bronze, silver, and gold all crumbled at once, fine as the chaff on the threshing floor in summer, and the wind blew them away without leaving a trace. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

NAB LUK 20:17

'The stone which the builders rejected has become the keystone of the structure'? The man who falls on that stone will be smashed to pieces, It will make dust of anyone on whom it falls."

NAB2 ISA 29:5

The horde of your arrogant shall be like fine dust, the horde of the tyrants like flying chaff. Then suddenly, in an instant, you shall be visited by the LORD of hosts, With thunder, earthquake, and great noise, whirlwind, storm, and the flame of consuming fire.
DAN 2 continued : “This was the dream; the interpretation we shall also give in the king’s presence. You, O king, are the king of kings; to you the God of heaven has given dominion and strength, power and glory; men, wild beasts, and birds of the air, wherever they may dwell, he has handed over to you, making you ruler over them all; you are the head of gold. Another kingdom shall take your place, inferior to yours, then a third kingdom, of bronze, which shall rule over the whole earth. There shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron; it shall break in pieces and subdue all these others, just as iron breaks in pieces and crushes everything else. The feet and toes you saw, partly of potter’s tile and partly of iron, mean that it shall be a divided kingdom, but yet have some of the hardness of iron. As you saw the iron mixed with clay tile, and the toes partly iron and partly tile, the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. The iron mixed with clay tile means that they shall seal their alliances by intermarriage, but they shall not stay united, any more than iron mixes with clay. In the lifetime of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed or delivered up to another people; rather, it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and put an end to them, and it shall stand forever. That is the meaning of the stone you saw hewn from the mountain without a hand being put to it, which broke in pieces the tile, iron, bronze, silver, and gold. The great God has revealed to the king what shall be in the future; this is exactly what you dreamed, and its meaning is sure.”
In Daniel 2, quoted above, the stone hewn from a mountain, which became a great mountain is Jesus. At the apocalyptic battle of Armageddon, Jesus, the stone, demolishes the dynasty of secular power flowing from Nebuchadnezzer to the Apocalypse. This is the broom of destruction upon Babylon that Isaiah 14, quoted below, is talking about. Isaiah 27 quoted below, tell us that Israel will blossom and produce much fruit under Jesus' care. The fruit he is talking about is free willed love for God through obedience to God. On the other side of the battle of Armageddon awaits prosperous times for Israel and, the aliens and slaves who bind themselves to the House of David, Christians; Prosperous times for those who faithfully love God through obedience, that is. Jesus' enemies will not have it so good at and after Armageddon.

NAB ISA 27:1

On that day, The LORD will punish with his sword that is cruel, great, and strong, Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the coiled serpent; and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea. On that day—The pleasant vineyard, sing about it! I, the LORD, am its keeper, I water it every moment; Lest anyone harm it, night and day I guard it. I am not angry, but if I were to find briers and thorns, In battle I should march against them; I should burn them all. Expunging and expelling, I should strive against them, carrying them off with my cruel wind in time of storm. In days to come Jacob shall take root, Israel shall sprout and blossom, covering all the world with fruit. Is he to be smitten as his smiter was smitten? or slain as his slayer was slain? Or shall he cling to me for refuge? He must make peace with me; peace shall he make with me!

NAB ISA 14 The King of Babylon

When the LORD has pity on Jacob and again chooses Israel and settles them on their own soil, the aliens will join them and be counted with the house of Jacob. The house of Israel will take them and bring them along to its place, and possess them as male and female slaves on the Lord’s soil, making captives of its captors and ruling over its oppressors. On the day the LORD relieves you of sorrow and unrest and the hard service in which you have been enslaved, you will take up this taunt-song against the king of Babylon:

How the oppressor has reached his end! how the turmoil is stilled! The LORD has broken the rod of the wicked, the staff of the tyrants That struck the peoples in wrath relentless blows; That beat down the nations in anger, with oppression unchecked.

The whole earth rests peacefully, song breaks forth; The very cypresses rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon: “Now that you are laid to rest, there will be none to cut us down.”

The nether world below is all astir preparing for your coming; It awakens the shades to greet you, all the leaders of the earth; It has the kings of all nations rise from their thrones. All of them speak out and say to you, “You too have become weak like us, you are the same as we. Down to the nether world your pomp is brought, the music of your harps. The couch beneath you is the maggot, your covering, the worm.”

How have you fallen from the heavens, O morning star, son of the dawn! How are you cut down to the ground, you who mowed down the nations! You said in your heart: “I will scale the heavens; Above the stars of God I will set up my throne; I will take my seat on the Mount of Assembly, in the recesses of the North. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will be like the Most High!” Yet down to the nether world you go to the recesses of the pit!

When they see you they will stare, pondering over you: “Is this the man who made the earth tremble, and kingdoms quake? Who made the world a desert, razed its cities, and gave his captives no release? All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb; But you are cast forth without burial, loathsome and corrupt, Clothed as those slain at sword-point, a trampled corpse. Going down to the pavement of the pit, you will never be one with them in the grave.” For you have ruined your land, you have slain your people!

Let him not be named forever, that scion of an evil race! Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and possess the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants.

I will rise up against them, says the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, progeny and offspring, says the LORD. I will make it a haunt of hoot owls and a marshland; I will sweep it with the broom of destruction, says the LORD of hosts.

In Deuteronomy 33:3, God is described as carrying Israel One into the Promised Land as like an eagle carrying Israel into the Promised Land One. It is on eagle's wings that God plants Israel in the Promised Land One. God made Himself King over the Israel at her birth.

God describes the fall of Israel as the great eagle, Babylon, flying in and carrying Israel out of the Promised land One, and replanting Israel in Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon is crowned king over Israel upon Israel One's exile from the Promised Land.

In Ezekiel 22, God promises that, like the eagle Babylon carrying off the crest of the cedar, Israel, He too will carry off the crest of the cedar and plant it on a mountain. The 'mountain' is Jesus. When Satan is defeated in the Book of Revelations, the woman who gave birth to Jesus is carried off to safety on eagle’s wings. The woman, who gave birth to Jesus, is, in this context, Israel. The fulfillment of this prophetic promise from God is upon the future apocalyptic Battle of Armageddon (REV 12, quoted below).

NAB2 DEU 33:3

While at his right hand a fire blazed forth and his wrath devastated the nations. But all his holy ones were in his hand; they followed at his feet and he bore them up on his pinions. A law he gave to us; he made the community of Jacob his domain, and he became king of his darling.

NAB2 DEU 32:8

When the Most High assigned the nations their heritage, when he parceled out the descendants of Adam, He set up the boundaries of the peoples after the number of the sons of God; While the LORD’S own portion was Jacob, His hereditary share was Israel. He found them in a wilderness, a wasteland of howling desert. He shielded them and cared for them, guarding them as the apple of his eye. As an eagle incites its nestlings forth by hovering over its brood, So he spread his wings to receive them and bore them up on his pinions. The LORD alone was their leader, no strange god was with him. He had them ride triumphant over the summits of the land and live off the products of its fields, Giving them honey to suck from its rocks and olive oil from its hard, stony ground; Butter from its cows and milk from its sheep, with the fat of its lambs and rams; Its Bashan bulls and its goats, with the cream of its finest wheat; and the foaming blood of its grapes you drank.

NAB MAT 23:37

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murderess of prophets and stoner of those who were sent to you! How often have I yearned to gather your children, as a mother bird gathers her young under her wings, but you refused me. Recall the saying, You will find your temple deserted. I tell you, you will not see me from this time on until you declare, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"

NAB DEU 28:48

He will put an iron yoke on your neck, until he destroys you.

The LORD will raise up against you a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, that swoops down like an eagle, a nation whose tongue you do not understand...

NAB EZE 17:1

Thus the word of the LORD came to me: Son of man, propose a riddle, and speak this proverb to the house of Israel: Thus speaks the Lord GOD: The great eagle, with great wings, with long pinions, with thick plumage, many-hued, came to Lebanon. He took the crest of the cedar, tearing off its topmost branch, And brought it to a land of tradesmen, set it in a city of merchants. Then he took some seed of the land, and planted it in a seedbed;…

EZE 17:12 The king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and took away its king and princes with him to Babylon…

EZE 17:22 Thus says the Lord GOD: I, too, will take from the crest of the cedar, from its topmost branches tear off a tender shoot, And plant it on a high and lofty mountain; on the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it. It shall put forth branches and bear fruit, and become a majestic cedar. Birds of every kind shall dwell beneath it, every winged thing in the shade of its boughs. And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, Bring low the high tree, lift high the lowly tree, Wither up the green tree, and make the withered tree bloom. As I, the LORD, have spoken, so will I do.

NAB2 ISA 26:11

O LORD, your hand is uplifted, but they behold it not; Let them be shamed when they see your zeal for your people: let the fire prepared for your enemies consume them. ;O LORD, you mete out peace to us, for it is you who have accomplished all we have done. O LORD, our God, other lords than you have ruled us; it is from you only that we can call upon your name. Dead they are, they have no life, shades that cannot rise; For you have punished and destroyed them, and wiped out all memory of them. You have increased the nation, O LORD, increased the nation to your own glory, and extended far all the borders of the land. O LORD, oppressed by your punishment, we cried out in anguish under your chastising. As a woman about to give birth writhes and cries out in her pains, so were we in your presence, O LORD. We conceived and writhed in pain, giving ; Salvation we have not achieved for the earth, the inhabitants of the world cannot bring it forth. But your dead shall live, their corpses shall rise; awake and sing, you who lie in the dust. For your dew is a dew of light, and the land of shades gives birth. Go, my people, enter your chambers, and close your doors behind you; Hide yourselves for a brief moment, until the wrath is past. See, the LORD goes forth from his place, to punish the wickedness of the earth’s inhabitants; The earth will reveal the blood upon her, and no longer conceal her slain.

NAB REV 12:5

A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son--a boy destined to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and to his throne. The woman herself fled into the desert, where a special place had been prepared for her by God; there she was taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days.

Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. Although the dragon and his angels fought back, they were overpowered and lost their place in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent known as the devil or Satan, the seducer of the whole world, was driven out; he was hurled down to earth and his minions with him.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:

"Now have salvation and power come, the reign of our God and the authority of his Anointed One. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who night and day accused them before our God. They defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death. So rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell therein! But woe to you, earth and sea, for the devil has come down upon you! His fury knows no limits, for he knows his time is short."

When the dragon saw that it had been thrown down to the earth, it pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus. It took its position on the sand of the sea.

NAB2 PSA 91:1

You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, Say to the LORD, “My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.” God will rescue you from the fowler’s snare, from the destroying plague, Will shelter you with pinions, spread wings that you may take refuge; God’s faithfulness is a protecting shield. You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come. You need simply watch; the punishment of the wicked you will see. You have the LORD for your refuge; you have made the Most High your stronghold. No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent. For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways. With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and the dragon. Whoever clings to me I will deliver; whoever knows my name I will set on high. All who call upon me I will answer; I will be with them in distress; I will deliver them and give them honor. With length of days I will satisfy them and show them my saving power.

NAB LUK 10:16

The seventy (-two) returned rejoicing, and said, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name.” Jesus said, “I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky. Behold, I have given you the power ‘to tread upon serpents’ and scorpions and upon the full force of the enemy and nothing will harm you.

NAB2 PSA 36:6

LORD, your love reaches to heaven; your fidelity, to the clouds. Your justice is like the highest mountains; your judgments, like the mighty deep; all living creatures you sustain, LORD. How precious is your love, O God! We take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

NAB JER 23:1

Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture, says the LORD. Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who shepherd my people: You have scattered my sheep and driven them away. You have not cared for them, but I will take care to punish your evil deeds. I myself will gather the remnant of my flock from all the lands to which I have driven them and bring them back to their meadow; there they shall increase and multiply. I will appoint shepherds for them who will shepherd them so that they need no longer fear and tremble; and none shall be missing, says the LORD. Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will raise up a righteous shoot to David; As king he shall reign and govern wisely, he shall do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah shall be saved, Israel shall dwell in security. This is the name they give him: “The LORD our justice.” Therefore, the days will come, says the LORD, when they shall no longer say, “As the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt”; but rather, “As the LORD lives, who brought the descendants of the house of Israel up from the land of the north”—and from all the lands to which I banished them; they shall again live on their own land.

Like the restoration of Job, God promises to restore Israel. Babylon, God will defeat. It is at the Battle of Armageddon that Jesus and His forces defeat Satan and the beast, who is Babylon. The curse, or judgment God put against Israel in 587 BC, will be removed. The remnant Israel, those who call upon God, will be restored. "Before your very eyes says the Lord."

God consuming the earth with fire of Zephaniah 3 at the time of God's restoration of Israel, quoted below, Seems to parallel the prophecy of the "Third Secret of Fatima" released in 2000 AD. Zephaniah prophesizes God as saying, "For in the fire of my jealousy shall all the earth be consumed." The third Secret of Fatima, released in 2000 AD by Pope John Paul II, states: "we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire;..." Both quotes are no doubt talking about the age of the Apocalypse when Christ's army, Archangel Michael and his angels, defeat Satan at Armageddon. Michael and his angels destroy the world, with fire, through the force of their weapon, the fiery sword of Christ's mouth, Church anathema. It is at Armageddon that Jesus takes over as King of the world. Israel may not have much longer to wait for God to release them from their bondage to the beast of Babylon, who is Satan.

NAB2 ZEP 3:6

I have destroyed nations, their battlements are laid waste; I have made their streets deserted, with no one passing through;Their cities are devastated, with no man dwelling in them. I said, “Surely now you will fear me, you will accept correction”; She should not fail to see all I have visited upon her. Yet all the more eagerly have they done all their corrupt deeds.

NAB REV 16:10

The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast. Its kingdom was plunged into darkness; men bit their tongues in pain and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their suffering and their boils. But they did not turn away from their wicked deeds.
NAB2 ZEP 3:8 (continued) Therefore, wait for me, says the LORD, against the day when I arise as accuser; For it is my decision to gather together the nations, to assemble the kingdoms, In order to pour out upon them my wrath, all my blazing anger; For in the fire of my jealousy shall all the earth be consumed.

NAB REV 19:11 The King of kings.

The heavens were opened, and as I looked on, a white horse appeared; its rider was called "The Faithful and True." Justice is his standard in passing judgment and in waging war. His eyes blazed like fire, and on his head were many diadems. Inscribed on his person was a name known to no one but himself. He wore a cloak that had been dipped in blood, and his name was the Word of God. The armies of heaven were behind him riding white horses and dressed in fine linen, pure and white. Out of his mouth came a sharp sword for striking down the nations. He will shepherd them with an iron rod; it is he who will tread out in the winepress the blazing wrath of God the Almighty. A name was written on the part of the cloak that covered his thigh: "King of kings and Lord of lords."...

...REV 19:19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth, and the armies they had mustered to do battle with the One riding the horse, and with his army. The beast was captured along with the false prophet who preformed in its presence the prodigies that led men astray, making them accept the mark of the beast and worship its image. Both were hurled down alive into the fiery pool of burning sulphur. The rest were slain by the sword of the One who rode the horse and all the birds gorged themselves on the flesh of the slain.

“J.M.J. The third part of the secret revealed at the Cova da Iria-Fatima, on 13 July 1917.

I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine. After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire;...

NAB2 ZEP 3:9 (continued)
For then I will change and purify the lips of the peoples, That they all may call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one accord; From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia and as far as the recesses of the North, they shall bring me offerings.

On that day You need not be ashamed of all your deeds, your rebellious actions against me; For then will I remove from your midst the proud braggarts, And you shall no longer exalt yourself on my holy mountain. But I will leave as a remnant in your midst a people humble and lowly, Who shall take refuge in the name of the LORD; the remnant of Israel. They shall do no wrong and speak no lies; Nor shall there be found in their mouths a deceitful tongue; They shall pasture and couch their flocks with none to disturb them. Shout for joy, O daughter Zion! sing joyfully, O Israel! Be glad and exult with all your heart, O daughter Jerusalem! The LORD has removed the judgment against you, he has turned away your enemies; The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst, you have no further misfortune to fear. On that day, it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not, O Zion, be not discouraged! The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a mighty savior; He will rejoice over you with gladness, and renew you in his love, He will sing joyfully because of you, as one sings at festivals. I will remove disaster from among you, so that none may recount your disgrace. Yes, at that time I will deal with all who oppress you; I will save the lame, and assemble the outcasts; I will give them praise and renown in all the earth, when I bring about their restoration.

At that time I will bring you home, and at that time I will gather you; For I will give you renown and praise, among all the peoples of the earth, When I bring about your restoration before your very eyes, says the LORD.

NAB2 SIR 36:1

Come to our aid, O God of the universe, and put all the nations in dread of you! Raise your hand against the heathen, that they may realize your power. As you have used us to show them your holiness, so now use them to show us your glory. Thus they will know, as we know, that there is no God but you. Give new signs and work new wonders; show forth the splendor of your right hand and arm; Rouse your anger, pour out wrath, humble the enemy, scatter the foe. Hasten the day, bring on the time; crush the heads of the hostile rulers. Let raging fire consume the fugitive, and your people’s oppressors meet destruction. Gather all the tribes of Jacob, that they may inherit the land as of old, Show mercy to the people called by your name; Israel, whom you named your first-born. Take pity on your holy city, Jerusalem, your dwelling place. Fill Zion with your majesty, your temple with your glory. Give evidence of your deeds of old; fulfill the prophecies spoken in your name, Reward those who have hoped in you, and let your prophets be proved true. Hear the prayer of your servants, for you are ever gracious to your people; Thus it will be known to the very ends of the earth that you are the eternal God.
